Amazon Prime Video releases Mobile-only Packs!
For competing with Disney+Hotstar and Netflix mobile subscription packs, amazon prime video has now launched its own mobile-only subscription packs at Rs. 599.
- New mobile-only plan for prime video in India.
- It will be known as the prime video mobile edition.
- It will be a single-user plan.
- The subscription plan will be priced at rupees 599 per year, in comparison to the standard pack that costs rupees 1499 per year to the users (which was rupees 999 previously ).
The mobile version of amazon prime video was introduced last year in partnership with Bharti Airtel and was limited to telecom network users. But now the new version will be available to all users irrespective of their mobile network. It offers access to all content on the platform in SD Quality.
Users can not only watch amazon originals but along with it, they can watch live cricket matches, and download shows for offline viewing.
While amazon prime video mobile edition costs rupees 50 per month, Netflix’s mobile plan is priced at rupees 149 per month, while the Disney+Hotstar mobile subscription will cost the user rupees 41 per month or 499 per year.
Those interested to sign up for the amazon prime mobile edition plan, users can sign up via the android or iOS app or visit primevideo.com. The app further lets users upgrade to other plans in the future if they want to.
As per the statement issued by amazon prime India vice president Gaurav Gandhi that with the new mobile-only plan, the prime video content will be more accessible to all Indians. Amazon offers its mobile plan along with other bundles of options with telecom recharge packs in the country similar to Disney+ Hotstar.
