Group Chats in Google Messages will soon be encrypted end-to-end
Google is taking steps to make sure that group messages sent through its service are kept safe and secure. According to reports, the search giant is planning to introduce end-to-end encryption for group chats in Google Messages soon.

This new feature will help protect conversations between parties by making sure that only the people involved in the chat can see the content. The encryption will be applied to group messages sent through the Messages app, which is Google’s official messaging platform.
Currently, end-to-end encryption is already available on one-on-one conversations in Google Messages. This means that the content of these chats cannot be accessed by anyone else, not even by Google itself.
The addition of end-to-end encryption for group messages will make sure that conversations between multiple people are just as secure. It will also make sure that even if someone were to get access to the messages, they would not be able to read them.
Google has yet to confirm when this feature will be available in Messages. However, it is expected to arrive soon and will be a welcome addition for users who want extra peace of mind when sending important messages.
Google is making changes to its Messages app to make group chats more secure with end-to-end encryption. The changes, which will be available soon, will allow users to have more control over the security of their conversations. When enabled, only the members of the group chat will be able to view the messages sent and received, and the messages will be protected from any third-party interference.
Google is also rolling out additional security features, such as verification of participants’ identities, to ensure that no one can join the chat without being invited. Both users of iOS and Android will have access to the end-to-end encryption capability.
