With this launch, the company became the first and only operator which launches the 5G services in these areas. The users from these cities can avail the Jio Welcome Offer, which provides them unlimited data with a speed up to 1Gbps with no additional cost.

As per a Jio’s spokesperson, these cities are important tourism spots and important education hubs for the country.

On Dussehra, the company has launched its 5G services. As per the news, this feature can be rolled out in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi by invitation only.

In late October, the service was also launched in Rajasthan from the Nathdwara temple.

The 5G service was launched in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune in the month of November, while in Kochi and a few cities of Andhra Pradesh, the same was launched in December.

5G is a fifth-generation mobile phone network capable of transmitting large amounts of data at very high speeds. Compared to 3G and G networks, it has very low latency, which improves the user experience in various areas. Low latency describes the efficiency of processing a very large number of data messages with minimal delay.
