Microsoft Stops Security Updates For Windows 7 and 8.1 – Know More
The Microsoft company, taken ahead by Satya Nadella, is now going to stop the release of any kind of security updates for Windows 7 and 8.1 and asking the users to kindly upgrade their devices to the most recent version of the operating system to avoid any kind of security risk.

As per the report of TechCrunch, the Windows 7 was stopped working in January 2020 after supporting the customers for more than 10 years with some additional security support which can be purchased. Now these updates will also not be made available for the customers to purchase.
There is no clear information about how many users are using the Windows 7 currently but the market research shows that in every 10 users, one is using the Windows 7 making the count high.
Although Windows 7 is not going to get any kind of security updates, it will function properly in the system without the security updates.
Apart from this, the company has also said that they are also going to stop the security updates for Windows 8.1. The company has also said that Windows 8.1 is the operating system which replaced Windows 7.
As per the report from the company, the update that will be released on Thursday, is going to be the latest version of the Microsoft Edge for Windows 7 and 8.1.
