WhatsApp Will Mute Notification For Large Group Without Your Consent

Do you also have so many irritating WhatsApp groups on your devices? Do you also get urgent family pop notifications on your cell phone? Do you seek to get rid of these? Then, certainly you’re on the right platform seeking help! WhatsApp soon will serve its users with its working on the host of an stupendous feature. The app was recently spotted working on an upcoming feature of muting the group with more than 256 participants.

WhatsApp has rolled out this feature to the beta testers, who are currently on the WhatsApp beta. This means that the feature is yet to be launched to all its users. WhatsApp has recently declared the Communities feature as official. The feature is an extension of the groups which allow people to add more people.

WABetaInfo, which cleverly tracks all the WhatsApp-related activities, traced the feature in the beta version of the messaging app. “The feature to mute large group notification has been rolled out to some beta users” the report said.

WhatsApp has recently increased the members in a group to 1024. Evidently, this might be helpful to some and troublesome to many. So if you’re a member of any group constituting more than 256 members, the group will be muted, automatically. However, if any of its users is unwilling to mute the notification, the option for unmuting the same is always there.

“WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.24.15 is marked as a compatible update but some lucky beta testers may also receive this feature after installing one of these updates: 2.22.24.9, 2.22.24.10, 2.22.24.11, and 2.22.24.14,” the report said. All the beta testers who updated the latest beta version of the app, will soon get the feature, but if you haven’t received any update yet, don’t lose hope! You can wait for a future update.
